First of all, stop apologizing. If you need help ask for it whenever you can. It is not a burden upon me or I’m sure anyone in your life to offer their advice and to help. It sounds to me that this girl, let’s call her Jane. Jane wants to date. Like any normal young woman she isn’t interested in real commitment. She already finds you attractive and wants to be your friend. I have this problem all the time with “not being the person he dates”. If you want the honest truth I’m always going to give it to you but you fell harder for her than she did for you. She just wants to date around and be “greedy” also young people today get bored hanging out with the same person if it doesn’t go anywhere. Maybe there was a night when you were hanging out sober and that moment was when you needed to talk to her about being exclusive. The funny thing is girls and guys cannot read each other’s thoughts and feelings. She was taking your relationship as dating causally. Also the “I love you” in that text is most likely why you haven’t heard from her yet. It’s not because she doesn’t feel the same it might be because she wished she knew this before and now she has someone else in her life and she is torn and confused.
